It’s always a treat to visit the town of Silver Plume, especially in the winter months. The old buildings, the seasoned locals, the warm wood burning stoves, it almost feels like a step back in time. A time where you only worry about doing your work, learning about what’s around you, and allowing other people to share in your experiences. There is a reason why I don’t visit Silver Plume often, and it’s not the long drive. It’s how incredibly special the town is and the experiences I have there, the people I share it with. Over saturating these things would make it feel less magical.
“But when fall comes, kicking summer out on its treacherous ass as it always does one day sometime after the midpoint of September, it stays awhile like an old friend that you have missed. It settles in the way an old friend will settle into your favorite chair and take out his pipe and light it and then fill the afternoon with stories of places he has been and things he has done since last he saw you.” — Stephen King
I recently took some time in Denver to shoot in the city. Model is Sarah Fitzer.
